The Clay-Platte Trackers walking Clubs offers many group walks around the Kansas City areas. We have walks on Wednesday and Saturday Mornings. Please check our calendar of event for our next scheduled walk.

Our walks are a leisurely 5 or 10 kilometer walk (3.1 or 6.2 miles) through a scenic, historic or interesting area, over a predetermined route. The walk is noncompetitive and participants can walk at their own pace, making it an excellent recreational activity for the entire family. You never know what beautiful sights await you when participating in a Clay-Platte Trackers walk.

  • Everybody is welcome to attend our club meetings.
  • The Clay-Platte Trackers meet bimonthly, on the third Tuesday of odd months. Our club meets at the Gashland Presbyterian Church located at 8029 N. Oak Trafficway, Gladstone, MO. We meet at 7:00 PM. Please E-mail Club for additional information. A complete meeting schedule can be found below.

As some of you are aware, Wava and Bob Scott recently lost their daughter, Barbara, after a courageous battle with her health. Below is a note Wava asked us to share from her family expressing their thanks during this time.

We walk for fun and fitness, but most importantly we walk for friendship. I think this note, along with the support we have given Wava over the recent years, truly expresses what we do on a regular basis. Our thoughts and prayers continue to stay with Wava and Bob and I know they feel our support during this time.

TO ALL OF OUR WALKING FRIENDS,

Over the past twenty-five years we have walked many a mile together but I am going to focus on the last six.  I never walked without someone asking about Barbara; you always had the time to listen when I needed to talk about her.

Now I have walked my final path with Barbara, and now it is time to thank you for remembering Barbara; some of you were able to attend her services, and some of you brought food for our family.  Many of you sent cards; some of you had other obligations but you took the time to call.
For all of your prayers, thoughts, and kind words we thank you.  We appreciate your friendship always.
